Day 31: Hanging with Gram

Nothing better than a Sunday hanging out with Gram and Riley.

Day 30: Rock On!

This day is dedicated to my Aunt Trina! She always does this pose and says "Rock On" when anything cool happens (it's so awesome)! No let me clarify, when I said Trina does "this" pose I didn't mean that she walks around with a headband around her mouth... that's just Eliza's idea of a snack!! ha ha.

Day 29: You are my SUNhine

Eliza has been so fascinated by her hands lately and she is TOO cute to watch as she investigates them. She can now hold her toys and transfer them from hand to hand and her favorite thing to do is to hold her pacifier and lick the tip of it or suck/chew on her thumb!
I just couldn't resist posting this second one... so hard to chose one picture a day!

Day 28: Be Mine

Isn't this the cutest? I just couldn't refuse during tummy time today.

Day 26: Eliza holds the bottle

So Eliza takes a bottle once in a while like on Monday's when Matt watches her and Wednesday when my grandparents watch her, when I'm out and about and sometimes when I'm just a little lazy :)  Tonight she actually held the bottle by herself for a few minutes for the FIRST time! I was so surprised and a little impressed. How cute is she?

Day 27: Flour Tower

For our Young Womens activity we had a fun night of games and pizza. We played a few different games but the flour game was the biggest hit EVER!  What you do is compact flour into a plastic cup and then pour it out on to a cookie sheet so it makes a tower (like how you build a sandcastle) and then you place a penny on top. Each person then takes a turn shaving a sliver of the flour away with a butter knife. When the flower tower falls that person has to retrieve the hidden penny out with their nose... YIKES!

The first time we played it was my sliver that knocked over the tower.  This pic is of me getting ready to dive into the mound of flour to find my hidden penny! It was so much fun.

Day 25: Just Hangin'

My mom and my niece, Savannah, came over to bring Eliza a Valentine outfit and they were able to stay a while. We had finished eating lunch and we were all just hanging out.  Can you believe these two girls get to be cousins and are so close to the same age... how fun will it be when they are a little older? :)

Day 24: Getting TOO big

I've been waiting and waiting for Eliza to grow out of her 0 to 3 month clothing and she FINALLY did! If you look closely at this picture you can see that the snaps by her legs have come unsnapped. So I am starting to bring out all of the 3 to 6 month clothes and have started washing them!  And I am even making matching bows... picture coming soon :)

She gets that funny little stare whenever the flash goes off :)

Day 23: Keeler

One of my inlaws friends made this for our wedding... isn't it ADORABLE?

I love it, it totally matches my blue and brown decor and makes me happy every time I see it.

Day 22: Happy 4 Months Eliza!

Happy 4 Month Birthday Eliza!!!
Eliza is officially 4 months old today...can you believe it?? She smiles, drools a lot, holds her head up pretty well, pushes down on her feet and tries to stand and loves to look in the mirror.  Today we had a date with Jenny Freeman and her two daughters. The girls watched a movie and then watched their mommies make hair bows. Jenny and I had such a great time chatting and making adorable heart bows for Valentine's Day. Eliza was quite a pill and wouldn't take a nap so we had to keep her entertained... but we still had a fantastic time.

The picture is of Kylie holding Miss Eliza.

Day 21: Bath Time

Eliza is getting more and more funny during bath time. She kicks her feet, smiles while her rubber ducky slides down her tummy, and is just over all happy in the bath... and she takes a great nap afterwords.

Here she is as her smiley self! (sorry the pic is so blurry, I had to do some editing)

Day 20: Young Womens

We were supposed to go ice skating for Young Womens but of course it decided to snow and rain that day so we couldn't go. We decided to play games and set goals for Personal Progress. Maybe not as fun as skating but definitely a GOOD time... our YW are hilarious!

Day 19: Daddy - Daughter Time (aka tummy time)

Today I let Matt have the privilege (ha ha) of doing tummy time with Eliza. She was doing so well, just keeping her head up and looking at daddy but after about 4.2 mins she ended up in a face plant, sucking on her hand! Matt tried to coerce her to get her head in the air but it just didn't seem to work, but look at the cute picture I got.

Day 18: A wired mess

Occasionally we ALL get LAZY.... but does your 'wire' bucket every get to this point???

Day 17: Cupcakes... Yumm

For Janelle's shower I had my friend Ronnie & her mom Becky make cupcakes for dessert. Ronnie & Becky are two of the most amazing people you will ever meet! They are so CREATIVE and so TALENTED that I am (I must say it) JEALOUS!

Of course at the shower I didn't have enough time between playing drink filler, game hostess, prize giver outer, and gift note taker to try these AMAZING cupcakes... so Becky got me a little to-go box so I could eat them at home. (she is sooo sweet) Don't they look awesome??? They tasted good too!

Day 16: B-e-a-utiful Diaper Cake

Today I held a baby shower in honor of my friend Janelle. The theme was "A baby girl is BLOOMing" Janelle's favorite color is purple and her baby's bedding is flowers so she decided that was what she wanted. I found this amazing diaper cake online and thought, "Hey, I can do that..." so I found these awesome receiving blankets (in all the right colors and patterns) and here is my masterpiece.  I also made those SWEET flowers (I found an awesome tutorial online.) Anyone need a diaper cake???

Day 15: Big Girl

Eliza is getting so big. Eliza is only a few days old in the first picture and in the second picture she is almost 4 months old. How time flies.

Day 14: Got SICK?!?!?! (like got milk)

So I am officially SICK!! I have used so many tissues that my nose got a little cut and started to bleed. YIKES.  I think Eliza is getting it a bit too!

Day 13: Yummy Fingers

Tonight was my friend Ronnie's baby shower. We were supposed to have her shower on Saturday but she decided to have the baby instead, so we moved it to Wednesday. Silly girl!

I was supposed to arrive at the shower early because I had a veggie tray but one thing led to another and I was 15 mins late and Eliza was hungry (of course!!!) While driving in the car, Eliza fell asleep and upon our arrival she promptly woke up :) I thought she would be horribly hungry but she wasn't... actually someone asked to hold her and she became the life of the party, a true SOCIAL BUTTERFLY. She didn't even act a little bit hungry until we sat down to play games and then she started doing this:

She loves looking at the lights and what is tastier (is that a word???) than your fingers, RIGHT?!?!

Day 12: No Pants

When Matt gets home from work it is automatically his turn to change Eliza's diaper.  Sometimes he gets some juicy ones and sometimes they aren't too bad... regardless of how the diaper turns out Matt always returns Eliza withOUT PANTS on. What's the deal?!?! Matt tells me that she just doesn't like pants.... ummm.... is she old enough to make that decision?

Day 11: Wakey Wakey

Eliza is so smiley when she wakes up in the morning. She also likes to do her hands in the "victory" position. She is so cute as she stretches and yawns and smiles. Here she is as she woke up this morning.

Day 10: Mommy & Me

Sorry this pic isn't great quality but I just couldn't pass it up today. Eliza is such a sweetie! Matt took this picture just as we had gotten home from visiting our friend Ronnie and her new baby Lorelai and soon after this picture Eliza spit up all over these pajamas. Oh the joys of being a baby! I think this shows that Eliza and I have similar eyes... but the rest is all Keeler :)

Day 9: Veggies

My friend Ronnie is having had a baby girl, her second in fact! The reason I crossed out having is because she was supposed to have her baby shower today... guess that was a no-go since she received her epidural at 7 am and the shower was supposed to be at 10 am. It's quite ironic... especially because a shower for her first baby was planned for 2 weeks before her due date and guess what.... her daughter was born 5 days before the shower!  This girl will never be able to have a baby shower where she is the main event!

Anyway, I was asked to make a veggie tray for the shower so Matt & I stayed up yesterday cutting vegetables and making dips and I never got to use them! The shower is rescheduled for Wednesday night so hopefully they will still be good by then!  Congrats Ronnie, Brandon & Evelyn on the arrival of your new precious baby girl!

Day 8: Fabric Flowers

Today I felt like getting my "craft" on. I saw these awesome rosettes made out of fabric on someone's blog and knew that I had to make them. They were so easy and so much fun that I made two and then made three more, two of which became a hair bow for Eliza. I used three of them to pair with some silk leaves I had to make a corsage... it looks great on my scarf and would be such a cute embellishment for a frame! Aren't they adorable?

Day 7: The Bumbo

Little Liza Biza sitting in her bumbo.  Just a week ago Eliza couldn't sit up in this thing and now look at her!  She used to slouch to one side and get her arm stuck between the seat and her body, and her head was just so, what's the word... I guess it just hung there!  Now she is a little slanted but she sits up like a champ and even has that cute grin on her face. It is so amazing how time flies!

Everyone calls Eliza "smiley" and she certainly is. She loves to look around and just smile. She smiles at mom and dad, at grandma and grandpa (and great gma & gpa) and her aunt (and gaunt), she smiles at Ellie, at the glass thing on the mantle, at the ceiling fan/light, at the TV and the computer, and really anything else she sees. It is so much fun to play with her and have her interact with you. It's definitely more rewarding than the middle of the night feedings and poopy diapers :)

I didn't think that I took a before pic but here it is :)

Day 6: Neighbor Gifts

A few weeks before Christmas I decided that this year I wanted to bake a few things and put together jars filled with chocolate chip cookie mix to give to my friends. Well I baked everything I had planned except for the Thumbprint Cheesecake cookies and well these jars.... are still sitting around.

I finished filling one and have 3 half full but I still have 8 more! I even bought this super cute stamp that says "Merry Christmas" to put on the tag, as well as fabric and ribbon. Maybe next year :)

Day 5: Cousins

Eliza & Savannah. Cousins.

Kelsey had Savannah 3 months before Eliza was born. It was so weird seeing my little sister pregnant, especially pregnant before me. Right before Kelsey announced she was pregnant Matt & I had decided to hold off on trying for a baby... Matt's job was a little rocky and we weren't sure what was going to happen. When Kelsey announced she was pregnant many were devastated but now we realize what a blessing it is to have Savannah in our lives. I am so grateful that Eliza will have a cousin so close to her age and that lives so nearby.  Although Savannah seems much older and advanced than Eliza now, I know that one day they will be on an equal playing field and will be the best of friends.

Day 4: Ellie

Isn't she adorable?  We love our Ellie McGellie.

Day 3: Perfect Moment

Once in a while in life you get that perfect moment. That moment where although your hair isn't done just right, you aren't wearing your best clothes, the house is a mess and you have a ton to do, you stop and notice that everything is PERFECT.

Today my perfect moment was when my sweet baby was asleep on my shoulder, with her delicious baby smell and the sound of her tiny little breath, and nothing in the world could have been better. I love these moments.

Thankfully I called Matt to take a pic right when one was happening.

Day 2: Favorite Pastime

Matt's favorite pastime.  When he plays video games it's like he is in a different place. A place where for just a few moments no one else exists.

Day 1: Tummy Time

Little Eliza doing tummy time. She almost HATES tummy time. I have the hardest time just leaving her there and she usually ends up sucking on the boppy or her hand until I can't take it any more. She is getting so much better at holding her head though and now she KINDA likes it.

About Me
